So, I have to take four self-portraits

by Wednesday night for my Portraiture class.

I do not like this.

There is a distinct difference

between taking quirky little myspace photogs

and taking artistic, professional-quality photogs of yourself.

Add into the mix

that I do not own a cable release cord or a remote.

All of these photos must be done by pushing the button

and running into place,

which makes focusing challenging.

I enjoy being in front of the camera

when my friends and peers need a model,

but certainly not for myself.

However, I shot one of them today,

and I'm pretty proud of the result.

I call it:

"Have faith in the Blue Lady."
